Mar Menor
La Manga is situated in the Province of Murcia in a coastal area which boasts one of the most moderate climates in Spain, with more days of sunshine than other mainland areas and water temperatures higher than average. It is a strip of sand, approx. 22kms. long, which forms a "barrier" and encloses the "Mar Menor" and separates it from the Mediterranean Sea. At it's narrowest parts it is only 100 metres wide and the maximum width is 1.5km. It is an area which offers many alternative types of holiday and recreation and is becoming one of the most important tourist centres on the Mediterranean coast. It offers the visitor a selection of beaches, restaurants, bars,plus shopping complexes and a night-life which are there to meet the demands of every holidaymaker. Nearby is the well known golf complex - "La Manga Club".

The Mar Menor is where the Mar de Cristal Resort is located. San Pedro del Pinatar
San Pedro del Pinatar is where the Costa Blanca ends and the Costa Calida begins. This historical fishing village offers the true Spanish experience, an unspoilt town alongside the protected waters of the Mar Menor. The town offers all amenities such as shops bars and restaurants, or you can relax on one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, either on the shores of the Mediterranean or alongside the calm waters of the Mar Menor.
This area offers amazing health benefits with its nearby salt lakes where the locals bathe in the mud to help with rheumatic and dermatological conditions. There are many nature reserves in the area. The dunes off the beach of La Llana, form one of the most important natural areas of the region, and in which occurs the spectacular passage and resting place of the migrating flamingos to Africa. There are more than 100 species of bird that nest and rest in the dunes. Visitors can enjoy walks along the dunes and nature reserves or horse riding can be arranged for the more adventurous.
